Stuart is leaving his role as CEO to take long service leave before returning to part-time consulting work in October.
Coffey International Limited managing director Rogers Olds thanked Stuart for his wonderful commitment since joining Coffey in July 2004.
“He has successfully grown the business to have a national presence and embedded it into Coffey since that time,” he said. “It is now a wonderful platform for Dave to build from.”
Dave comes from the position of Coffey Natural Systems’ regional manager, South Australia and Northern Territory. Since joining Coffey Natural Systems in July 2006, the region has grown to two offices (Adelaide and Darwin) and 10 staff.
Prior to joining Coffey, Dave was manager of environment and regulatory affairs - major development projects for Origin Energy and, before that, held various manager of environment positions with Newmont, Normandy and Pasminco.
Dave has 19 years' experience in the mining, infrastructure and agricultural industries His mining experience includes gold, base metals, and diamonds at various sites or projects across Australia, including Coffey Natural Systems’ Carrapateena Copper Project, Prominent Hill Copper-Gold Project and the Kanmantoo Copper Project.
He has also worked on mining and infrastructure projects in Uganda, Ghana and Indonesia.
Dave’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science – Natural Resource Management from Adelaide University.
