The paper presents the Permeability Characteristics of Compacted Basecourse taken from the PhD thesis of Dr Do van Toan. With his approval, details are given of the equipment that he designed and the assistance given by the author to assemble and build such equipment and then conduct a number of permeability tests of roading materials.
