As an accredited Contaminated Sites (CS) Auditor, Ron is able to carry out independent reviews of environmental investigations and remediation of contaminated sites. CS Auditors are commissioned by a proponent, landowner or person responsible for the investigation or remediation of a site to undertake independent reviews of CS investigations or remediation work carried out by other organisations or professionals.
With the selection process taking place every two years, the accreditation as a CS Auditor is recognised by the industry as one of the hardest to achieve. The Department of Environment and Conservation seeks to accredit professionals who are able to demonstrate their local knowledge of the state environmental legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines, site assessment, investigation and management.

Ron is an industrial chemist with specialisation in environmental chemistry and has also completed a Master of Business and Administration degree. Having worked with public and private enterprises, he has acquired an in-depth understanding of legislative requirements in relation to environment protection and associated regulatory organisations as well as developed a network with regulatory officers. He has diverse project experience with managing Environmental Site Assessments (Stage I, II, III and IV), Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Approvals, Environmental Management Plans and assisting clients with developing and implementing Environmental Management Systems. Over the past 28 years, Ron has worked across various industries including solid and liquid waste facilities, resources, utilities, airport operations, petroleum retail, chemical manufacturing, metal fabrication and manufacturing operations.
Ron is one of only three accredited CS Auditors based in Western Australia. He is one of seven CS Auditors in Coffey Environments across Australia which is the largest CS consultancy in Australia. The national auditing team at Coffey Environments compromises of Tony Scott, Michael Dunbaven, Phil Sinclair, Tim Marshall, David Lam and Paul Moritz.
